This is a nifty product... uses just a few charcoal briquets or solid chunks to cook for a couple of hours... delicious flavor, very versatile... clean-up is a bit more than I would like... also needs a good American instruction/cookbook..

I was looking for a charcoal grill/cooker I could walk away from and still get fantastic results - and I found it.
I put on a whole chicken with about 12 briquettes in the little fire area, put on the dome and walk away for about 2 hours.
After 2 hours, I put another 4-5 briquettes in and let it cook about another hour or so and the chicken is awsome.
We've used the Cobb with beer in the moat and the moistness of the meat is great. We've also used apple chips on the fire (never use liquid in moat if you are cooking with wood chips) and the flavor of the chicken is better than restaurant - hands down. It's so good, the hubby doesn't even want any barbque sauce on the table!
I use a digital thermometer to check for internal temperature and it's great every time. Cleanup is no big deal. I just spray the interior with fume free Easy Off and wait a few minutes - rinse it off outside with the hose and it cleans up like brand new with practically no scrubbing and no mess in the kitchen. Doesn't get any better than that! You can also find some great accessories - griddles, wok, frypan, expansion ring, etc. Just Google on "CobbQ". What accessories you can't find at Amazon, you can find elsewhere. But you can't beat Amazon for a good price with no shipping cost and the 30 day guarantee. I found the same price, but other sites charge shipping.
Incidently, the bottom DOES stay cool. I've picked it up with bare hands several times to move from one spot to another while it was cooking. We chose the Premier version (all stainless)so rust will never be an issue. Looking forward to smoking beef and cooking other meats - just haven't done anything but chicken yet because we love it and it's so great on the Cobb!
Would I buy it again? Yes - and it won't be long - the Cobb will be my brother's Christmas present!

I use this grill only for ribs and chicken (game hen or whole split chicken). It's pretty neat. Ideal for my condo with a painted deck. It's a simple condo way to Bar-B-Q.
Grilling steaks on the provided grill plate will be a letdown, I don't even bother.
I have some other tips and comments.
6 pieces of charcoal gets pretty hot and cooks a long time, however, for ribs and chicken, I would recommend having some additional charcoal going 3/4 of an hour into cooking.
The additional roasting rack is a MUST buy.
Cooking tips: Just like opening an oven door, taking the lid off to peek in drastically reduces the heat, and can affect how the meat cooks.
Lining the charcoal holder in foil makes it easier to remove ash. Poke out the small air holes after you line it.
Here's a clean up tip: Buy a can of EZ-OFF fume free oven cleaner. You only have to wait a few minutes and everything will wipe out clean in a jiffy.
I tried using other cleaners and they don't even start to remove the baked on residue. EZ OFF FUME FREE cleaner cuts right thru baked on smoke/grease, in minutes.
You can add some wet smoke chips to the coals, wrapped in foil with some holes poked.
If your plate loses its slight cone shape due to heat warpage (over time), just hit the bottom and it will pop out to be the proper cone shape again.
Also, the roasting rack can be secured to the grilling plate for easier lifting when adding charcoal.
Cut 4 short pieces of wooden skewers and force them into the 4 rounded wire "feet" that protrude below the many Grill Plate holes that allows it to sit on the grill plate.
Also, outside temps really affect how many charcoal brickettes to use. It was a cool 65F once, and I didn't use enough brickettes initially. I added some more, but
wish I had started with 7 or 8 brickettes instead of the usual 5 or 6 (for the usual summer temps... ie: 80F outside).
The Cobb Grill is solidly built, has a few minor design flaws and takes some time to cook with equal consistency. Ribs and split chickens cook up very tasty.

This grill is great for condo living! It truly does burn for hours on a few coals and is easy to clean. I wished the grill rack was standard as this is a must-have feature for smoking.
