Product Description The patio caddie from Char-Broil® features all the conveniences of a full-size gas grill, but fits perfectly on smaller decks and terraces.
Amazon.com Review For apartment dwellers with limited outdoor space, Char-Broil created their Patio Caddie grills. Compact yet efficient, the propane grill offers 187 square inches of cooking space, ideal for small households or as a vacation home grill. Activated by a push-button electronic ignition, a 10,000 BTU burner roasts mesquite chicken or a half-dozen bratwurst. The freestanding grill's body features porcelain-steel construction that resists rusting. Equipped with heavy-gauge porcelain cooking grids, the grill distributes heat evenly while cleaning with ease. A grease catcher collects drippings for simple disposal. Char-broil employed their patented Thermsulate lining to ensure steady temperatures, which can be monitored on the temperature gauge. The grill lid also includes thermostatic handles. The grill's body is supported by a sturdy plastic base and can be moved to and fro on the wheels implemented on two of the grill's legs. For the best care, clean the grates with a mild detergent and avoid use of steel wool and other abrasives. The grill affixes to either an 11-1/2- or 20- pound propane tank. This item requires assembly and necessitates the use of a Phillips screwdriver, wrench and pliers. Hardware is enclosed with the thorough assembly instructions. The Patio Caddie also comes in electric models. A five-year limited warranty covers the main body of this grill while a one-year warranty protects smaller parts. The grill measures 22 by 16-3/4 by 44 inches and weighs 52 pounds upon shipping. Propane tank not included.--Jessica Reuling

Char-broil Patio Caddie Gas Grill March 3, 2010 A. IACONO (san diego CA) Great little grill for the money. It takes up the minimum space on my patio and cooks very well. Love it!
Versatile Grill February 28, 2010 Alex Hill (AZ USA) I did not do any background prior to buying it from Amazon. However, I tried to buy it used. For about a year, I saw it advertised used just a few times. Of course every time I tried to buy one, someone else had beaten me to it. I figured this was and indication that this grill was popular and well worth its value. Needless to say, as always, Amazon had the best price for it.
Putting it together was a breeze. The single stack burner really gets the grill hot in no time at all.
The best part is that is that if the hot plate is removed, leaving the burner exposed, you can rest a pot, a griddle or whatever else on the three sturdy bolts, that hold the plate in place, and use it safely as a burner. I have even easily managed to cook with a cast iron wok.
Nice grill February 23, 2010 Minx (Oceanside, CA) This grill does a great job of cooking dinner for small groups. The main problem we had with it was that the "wheel base assembly" did not include said wheels, but we're hoping the manufacturer will send them out for free like it says on the instructions. It's relatively stationary and light weight though so the lack of wheels is more annoying to me than a real problem. As for cooking, it does a nice job, everything cooks as expected, clean up isn't any harder than it is on larger grills. I'd say get the grill, but triple check to make sure every single bit is there before building it; the wheels aren't in the assembly pack like I assumed, they're already supposed to be in the base.
Good grilling but poor design February 4, 2010 Bill L (Texas) The grill does a fine job of cooking. Design leaves a lot to be desired. The top of the grill is not hinged and designed to fit on the side of the bottom section, putting a 500 degree top next to your cooking movements - really bad idea!!! Where do I place this hot top, out of the way, when turning meat so not to get dirt or other stuff on it? Also with the wheels located, NOT opposite the handle, it is difficult to move with a tank attached (which will be most of the time). Definitely would not purchase again. Ignitor failed after the first use.
Char-Broiled Goodness February 2, 2010 Shawn Pickett (who knows) Very nice grill, My inlaws have the same one so we bought one as well. Very satisfied. Meat is good. Very efficient with the propane.
