Bought it on clearance, LOVE IT! September 6, 2010 ToadilyDJ The grill was listed for $469 at Shopko, clearance was $179. Couldn't argue for for the price. Putting it together takes about 2 hours, not hard just a lot of things to bolt together. Other than that it is an easy grill to operate. It is a nice grill to have sitting on your deck with the stainless steel and black accents. I grilled potatoes in foil and it cooked so evenly you would have thought they came from the oven. Front to back, side to side it cooks so evenly with no flare-ups. Temperature control is excellent! The infrared is the way to go! Hamburgers and steaks get the best grill marks I have ever seen. No more burnt outside and raw inside. I had owned a 2 burner grate grill and wouldn't use another one to save my life. Even my wife can grill now. Thanks Char-Broil!
Great start with new grill!! July 5, 2010 Justin Coykendall 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this grill because we were having friends over for the 4th of July. My wife pre-marinated the steaks the day before so all I had to do was cook them. I pre heated the grill for about 10 min then turned the heat to the medium setting, then threw the steaks on searing each side for two and a half minutes then putting the steaks on the upper grill NOT turning down the heat. I put the asparagus down for about 3 minutes, took them off and kept the steaks in for another 5. The meat fell apart in our mouths!! The cleaning part as everyone seems to bring up is a bit tough but nothing to get my panties in a twist over. Love the grill!
Best Grill I've Ever Had July 4, 2010 R. Langenek (Las Vegas, NV United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is by far the best grill I've ever owned. I've had it about 2 months now. It makes the most flavorful food...absolutely incredible and extremely juicy. I've yet to have a flare-up too. My other grills would flare-up constantly, but not this one. It does require a little more maintenance than other grills and it will never look as good as the day you buy it, but the end product is worth it. I love it and would absolutely recommend it.
Best grill I've ever owned!!! June 29, 2010 ops_director (Valrico, FL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This grill takes a little getting used to because it cooks much quicker than my old Ducane. However, once I got used to it, I get perfectly cooked meats every time. The meat also has restaurant quality grill marks that just make the food look better while still being tender and juicy inside. It's easy to clean and you'll never have a flare-up because the infrared grates double as a flame protector. The surface of the cooking grates have individual thermometers on them that tell you the temperature of that grate. When on high, the temperatures are over 700 degrees F. This is a great grill for the money.
Rusted very quickly June 22, 2010 L. Feldhendler 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I was excited about the IR technology. It cooked fairly well. Then the burners started rusting. Char broil said it is not under warranty and said they would replace the parts for $100. Even the front doors on this grill showed rust and I covered it after every use. Very expensive throw away grill. I recommend you read their website about surface rust and rust warranty before buying.
